Port Townsend Psychedelic Society Open House

Please join us for Port Townsend Psychedelic Society’s Open House this Saturday, October 22nd at the Bishop Block Bottle Shop (714 Washington St) in Port Townsend from 2pm-5pm. This will be an informal opportunity to walk around the room and learn about various facets of our organization, mingle and connect with other interested individuals, and listen to some music that is medicine on its own accord (Andy Fischer-Price will be playing an acoustic set peppered throughout the event).

We will also have people present to chat about our decriminalization efforts, educational goals, support groups, and our various committees (such as end of life care, veteran outreach, microdosing, sustainable relationships, peer support, recovery, and integration).

In addition to all the above (and the original impetus for this gathering), a filmmaking team is traveling to the area to document psychedelic healing stories, local decriminalization efforts, and community education and support structures as part of an effort to advocate for better mental healthcare. No one will be filmed without permission, but there will be an opportunity to chat with the filmmakers. And for anyone interested in publicly sharing a personal healing story, a reflection on our local community in relation to psychedelics, or on ways we can best hold and work with these medicines with integrity, they may ask permission to interview you.

This event is open to all, whether you’re a regular attendee and just want to connect with others or it will be your first time learning about the organization. Feel free to invite your friends and hope to see you there!
